Privacy policy

Superior Men ("we", "us") runs this website and the archetype quiz. We're the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at superiormenofficial@gmail.com.

When you take the quiz and unlock your report, we collect:

• Your first name and email address.
• Your quiz answers, including the optional note about what you'd change in the next 90 days.
• Your results (archetype scores, shadow and the report built from them).
• Whether you agreed to receive our emails, and when.
• Basic technical data: a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address and browser type, used to stop spam and abuse, and the link you arrived from (for example a TikTok campaign tag).

We also check which country you're visiting from, using your IP address, only to decide whether the email sign-up box starts ticked. We don't store your country.

• To show you your report and email you a copy. This is the service you asked for (legal basis: performing our agreement with you).
• To send you Superior Men emails, only if you ticked the box (legal basis: your consent). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
• To keep the quiz working and protect it from spam and abuse, and to understand in aggregate how people use it (legal basis: our legitimate interests).

We don't sell your data. We use these service providers to run the site, and they only process your data on our instructions:

• Vercel (website hosting and cookie-free visit analytics)
• Neon (database)
• Resend (sending emails and managing our mailing list)

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, it's protected by the provider's standard data protection terms, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep your results and contact details for as long as you're on our list, or until you ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we keep a record of your email address so we don't email you again. Answers from quizzes you don't finish never leave your browser; we only store them once you unlock your report.

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to: access the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. You can withdraw your consent to emails at any time.

Email superiormenofficial@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). In the EU, you can contact your local data protection authority.

We don't use cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see how people move through the quiz. It doesn't use cookies or identify you, and it only sees aggregated, anonymised data. Links to individual reports are stripped from it.

While you take the quiz, your progress is saved in your browser's session storage so a reload doesn't lose your answers; it's cleared when you finish or close the tab.

This quiz is designed for adults and older teens. If you're a parent and believe your child under 16 has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell people on our mailing list.
